The Dark Knight is one of the best superhero movies ever made. I am personally not a huge fan of the other Batman movies, but this one is truly great. It holds viewers’ attention from start to finish and has a great storyline.

The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, and the late Heath Ledger. The acting in this movie is phenomenal. Heath Ledger plays the role of the Joker perfectly and makes the villain seem so real.

In the film, Batman (Bale) has to try to protect Gotham City from the Joker (Ledger). The Joker has been working with organized crime to terrorize the city. District Attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart) also tries to help defeat the Joker. The Joker decides to kill people until Batman reveals his true identity. After an interesting turn of events, people important to the city of Gotham, and even some who are close to Batman, end up dead.

The scenes of this movie can be graphic and are a bit disturbing at times. However, the scenes are well shot and make Gotham come to life on the big screen. The special effects and action scenes are also very entertaining.

Although the movie has a run time of about two and a half hours, it keeps its viewers on the edge of their seat the entire time. There is so much action taking place throughout the film.

The movie also has a well-written script and each character also has a unique background and is well developed. The characters also engage in interesting conversations and dialogue and there are some great quotes that come from this film.

So if you haven’t seen The Dark Knight, definitely put it on your watch list. It is the second movie in Batman series, but you can understand it without seeing Batman Begins.
