Antonio’s Grinders is a long-running and counter-serving style place including a drive-thru area, which isn’t very common for these types of restaurants. I loved the interior design, with the base of wood adding to the casual atmosphere. Sitting right across from AIC, the decor is a mixture of sports, nature, and culture. The prices were pretty standard and the slices came out quickly, but the pizza itself was pretty disappointing. The cheese was too overpowering and generally forgettable in taste, and the sauce was practically non-existent on the palate. The crust was fine, but even an excellent dough can’t salvage a slice with no tang. Despite its convenient location, there are much more worthy spots to stop in for a slice, as Antonio’s grinders lands at 2 stars.
