On the border of Springfield and Longmeadow, you’ll miss Village Pizza if you drive by too fast. It’s a classic pick-up place without a ton of indoor seating, surrounded by piles of pizza boxes. It was a solid slice, with a good combo of stringy cheese and crisply cooked crust. The pie came out quickly, and I noticed as the slice got cooler, the sauce took a dent in flavor and texture, something that doesn’t lend itself well to a long-lasting enjoyable experience. A nice staff, but the pizza is pretty standard and certainly nothing to write home about, landing at 3 ½ stars.
