Best Pizza – 306 Pasco Road, Springfield, Mass.
Another spot that’s tucked away, just off of Boston Road, Best Pizza offers takeout, delivery, and catering. It has a small inside area, with the kitchen situated behind the front desk where you order. In terms of seating, there isn’t much, with a handful of barstools along a window counter that looks out onto the street, seats that weren’t the most comfortable to sit in, and were actually wobbly. The service was quick and the prices weren’t bad, as I opted for just a couple of slices to see if they were really the best around. It had a solid cheese flavor, enough to get you through a couple of slices, but it was clearly lacking a strong sauce and memorable crust. Although the flavor was good, it also suffered from too much grease, which left me feeling more bloated than desired. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular either. Best Pizza doesn’t quite live up to the billing, landing at 3 stars.
