SCTV3 is Springfield College’s student-run television production club covering breaking news, community stories, campus sports and more. During the academic year, don’t miss SCTV’s “Weekly News” program Thursday nights at 7:00 PM. Each newscast includes “Sports Xtra,” a segment highlighting Springfield College athletics. SCTV3’s student members gain experience and skills in audio and video production, script writing, editing, on-air reporting, anchoring and more. SCTV3 also broadcasts Springfield College football and select men’s and women’s basketball games.

During the spring semester, students in COMM 319 – Advanced Television Production pitch, develop and produce pilot episodes for new SCTV3 programs. The assignment guides students through the process of generating a unique and creative show idea, developing that idea and producing an episode to premiere live on the station.
