With Halloween around the corner, The Springfield Student set out to find out what Springfield College student’s favorite candy is, what their least favorite is and how many pieces they are taking from a ‘pick one’ bowl.
Olivia Gentry, Junior
Favorite Halloween candy: “Reese’s Pumpkins.”
Least favorite: “Twizzler’s. They’re so gross; they’re just plastic. Also pretzels – straight trash. Why are you handing out pretzels on Halloween?”
How many are you taking from a ‘pick one’ bowl: “It depends on how many are in the bowl, and what time it is. If it’s early in the night I’ll normally take two. But if it’s the end of the night and there’s nobody around and the candy bowl is still full, I’m probably taking three or four.”
Zahi Haddad, Adjunct Professor
favorite Halloween candy: “Almond Joy and KitKat – I love both.”
Least favorite: “Starbursts. I don’t like the way they stick to your teeth.”

Least favorite: “Three Musketeers; who even eats that.”

Least favorite: “I’m allergic to eggs, so I have to go with a Snickers.”

Favorite Halloween candy: “York Peppermint Patties.”
Least favorite: “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups just because I’m allergic.”

Favorite Halloween candy: “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups because I like peanut butter and chocolate very much.”
Least favorite: “Whoppers because they taste like chalk that was put into ball form.”
How many are you taking from a ‘pick one’ bowl: “Depends whose house it is, but usually I’m just going to take one.”
