Men’s Basketball: Led by Josiah Evely’s stellar all-around performance, the Pride knocked off Salve Regina in their midweek game. Evely scored 16 points, while adding seven rebounds, six assists, four steals, four blocks and two 3-pointers. Xoren Livingston added 15 points, while Josh Hartley scored 10 off the bench. In the next game against Babson, the Pride struggled to get anything going, shooting just under 27 percent from the field. Curtiss Blische led the Pride with 13 points.

Women’s Basketball: Another perfect week has Springfield sitting at 17-4, riding a five game win streak and primed for a possible NCAA Tournament bid. Mount Holyoke and WPI were the latest victims, with the Pride pouncing on a subpar Mount Holyoke team, leading 41-5 at halftime in what ended as a 73-29 win. Amanda Leary chipped in 18 off the bench against WPI, while on her senior night Jaelen Daubon scored 16 in a 57-44 win.

Women’s Gymnastics: The Pride produced their best result of the season, scoring 189.175 total points, but it was not enough as they were clipped by Ithaca. Sophia LeBlanc was the lone individual winner, posting a 9.650 on the bars, and Sage Kaplan posted top five finishes on the vault and beam.

Men’s Swimming and Diving: Springfield split their two meets this weekend, winning against Trinity and falling to Amherst. Against Trinity, Jonathan Chan won three events, winning the 100-fly, 100-free and 500-free. Gerold Gutierrez, Ryan Goolsbey, Luke Zonghetti, Dan Backlund and Jordon McMillan all won their respective races, while Christian Butler won both boards. Against Amherst, only Backlund recorded an individual win as the Mammoths were dominant in the pool.

Women’s Swimming and Diving: After besting Trinity, the Pride’s seven-match dual winning streak came to a close at the hands of Amherst. Nina Lamb and Kay Shen combined to win five events against Trinity, with Lamb taking the 50-breast, 100-breast and 200-IM, and Shen the 50- and 100-free. In addition, Erin Kelaher was first in the 50-fly, Emma Savoie won the 500-free and Megan Crawford won the 3-meter dive. Emma Baumhauer won the 100-back in both meets as the Pride’s lone individual winner against Amherst.

Men’s Track and Field: Michael Scott and Mike Anderson put their names in the program record books at the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca. Scott’s record-breaking and event-winning time of 6.85 in the 60 meter dash beat the old record by a hundredth of a second, while Anderson’s prelim time of 8.35 in the 60 meter hurdles tied the school record.

Women’s Track and Field: Like the men’s team, the women also had one individual event win at the Bomber Invitational, as Samantha Paul won the triple-jump with a final leap of 11.25 meters. Stephanie Brown’s 60 meter time was good for a top five finish, as was Katherine DeFosse’s time in the 60 meter hurdles. Sophie Curcio and Kate Bonanno also got runner-up finishes in the distance runs.

Men’s Volleyball: Excellent play from all six spots on the floor powered the Pride to a win at the Morgan Classic. In a tough, five-set win over No. 6 Vassar, the Pride’s talisman Dylan Mulvaney came up massive, dishing out 47 assists and adding eight digs and three aces. Sam Levinson and Ethan Walters had 19 and 15 kills apiece, while Chris Rouleau added nine kills and six blocks. In the championship match against Lasell, a complete team effort helped the Pride win the trophy, as Levinson and Rouleau were named to the all-tournament team and Mulvaney won tournament MVP.

Wrestling: In a battle of three of New England’s top schools, No. 9 Castleton and No. 7 Johnson & Wales both topped Springfield. Castleton swept, winning 47-0 in a dominating showing, while the Pride fell 30-10 against Johnson & Wales. Luke Temple, Casey Allen and Ryan Kozdra all secured wins by decision in the loss.
