It has become apparent to me in the past couple of weeks that my own personal fashion crises have become the inspiration for my columns, which would in turn make this more of a fashion diary than a column.
This weekend, like many of the other students at Springfield, I found myself rather ill. I was plagued from Thursday night until Saturday morning. So when Saturday night came around, I was so ready and excited to go out with my friends.
But, every girl knows that when you don’t really feel your best, you don’t feel like you look your best….IN ANYTHING.
I’m going to estimate and say that I probably have enough clothes in my room to dress nine girls on the weekends, yet I couldn’t seem to dress myself.
Two hours and about 12 outfits later, I thought I had found the one, until I began to look for shoes. I realized that out of the 50 pairs of shoes here at school, I, of course, had nothing that looked just right.
My friend on the other hand, who lives down the hall, has these great little booty wedges. She pulled them out and told me to wear them. I saw no other option. What was I going to do? Go barefoot? I couldn’t possibly.
So, I took the shoes from my friend, threw a pair of socks on, and slid my feet into the most life-changing pair of shoes I have ever set foot in.
They were tall like a heel, but they offered a different kind of support to my entire foot. Now, she is about a size and a half larger than me, but they still were comfortable. So imagine how comfortable they would have been if they were actually my perfect size?
I wore those little booty wedges all night and when I got home and took them off, I felt the sudden need to go to the mall the next day and buy my own.
They are the perfect shoe to buy in black and a nude color. They go great with everything – you can wear them all night without being in physical pain, and you can dance in them without falling over.
So you see ladies, the point of this diary entry is never to sacrifice style for comfort. Find the style that is comfortable, or, if you’re like me, it’ll find you.
Wet Seal carries the booty wedges for under $20, so no excuses, go get them right now! Your feet deserve it.
