That being said, there haven’t been many columns with fashion tips. So this week, get ready to learn some of the best fashion and style tips for current college students.
First, you need clothes, lots of them—and cute ones at that. So where can you get what you want and get the most bang for your buck? The answer is rather simple, Forever 21. Go to the nearest one and shop until you drop.
When shopping for a college wardrobe, it is important to realize that you can, and should, change things up. Try buying a really comfortable pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Then buy as many accessories as possible to change the look and/or dress it up.
Next, try to keep your makeup low-key. No one likes a caked on face. If you are seriously into makeup and want to stand out, try using bright colored eyeliners, but leave the rest of the makeup nice and simple. Also, try red lipstick because it is every girl’s God given right to attempt to rock red lipstick.
Also, on those mornings when you wake up and just don’t know what to wear, think about your favorite celebrity. Mimic her style and confidence for the day and rock a look that you love and isn’t necessarily all you.
Obviously after walking around all day feeling like a rock star, you are going to want to try and capture the moment, so do it. Take as many seflies as possible, delete the bad ones and post the good. It is a great confidence booster and everyone does it.
When it comes to fashion, it is so important to have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to steal a blazer or a flannel from one of your guy friends. You can totally pull it off, and you will be the most comfortable person in the world that day.
Make sure to dress up sometimes, too. Not just for a job or for an internship, but because you want to. Being a girl is a lot of fun, so dress up and enjoy it.
Lastly, highlight your favorite parts of yourself. If you like your legs, then wear things you know will flatter your leg . Confidence is key, so never forget that.
