Immediately stepping inside, I could tell that Salerno’s was a classic neighborhood pizza joint. A family-owned shop that has its fair share of regulars, with many stopping in not just for the pie, but to say hi to Sal and the rest of the employees. A quick glance at the menu reveals another component of Salerno’s success, the prices. The pizzeria is able to maintain a great value, without sacrificing the quality of the food, as a personal costs under $10. The pie had great cheese, but I felt like the sauce could’ve been a little more prominent. A great doughy crust and cordial service lands Salerno’s Pizzeria four-and-half-stars.
