An endearing space with a classic Italian flare, Tony’s Pizza (108 Boston Road), which opened in 1979, is still serving authentic and homestyle slices. When it comes to the three pillars of a good pizza, the sauce, the cheese and the crust; every aspect comes through on each bite. The aged cheese is the star. With a soft and stringy texture coated with and a little bit of black pepper, its unique flavor shined through. The crust perfectly accented the cheese, but the sauce was somewhat muted in the mix. At a fair price, 16 slice pizzas under $20, Tony’s Pizza is worth the visit.
