The Springfield College men’s volleyball swept the Arcadia Knights in a Saturday night showdown, advancing their overall season record to 10-1. It was total domination in Blake Arena as the team held the Knights to a .038 hitting percentage with a season-best 15 blocks.

It was a tug of war for the lead at the beginning of set one until Figueroa Velez tore it open with three consecutive service aces, forcing Arcadia into a time out at 13-5. The Pride cruised to the end of the set hitting an almost flawless .769, until junior Joseth Irizarry Feliciano (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico) took the finish into his own hands with back to back points, one demolishing a ball out of the middle then another at the service line, closing out the set 25-12, with one of the seven aces on the night.

First year program, Arcadia, answers back in set two where the Pride will find themselves tied 10-10 before Weedon and Figueroa Velez collect 5 back to back points.
