This week’s nominees:
Mike Scott – The sophomore sprinter on the men’s track and field team won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.60 seconds and came second in the 200-meter at NEWMAC Championships.
Connor Tracy – The graduate attack on the men’s lacrosse team totaled six goals and six assists in Springfield’s two victories over the week.
Mikey Barrett – The senior went 6-11 with four doubles, scored four runs, drove in two runs and led the Pride to back-to-back wins against Dean and Coast Guard.
Justin Acquarulo – First-year golfer claimed individual medalist honors as he posted a score of five over par (77) and led the Pride to a second place finish at the Western New England Invitational hosted at Wilbraham Country Club.

And on the women’s side
Amelia DeRosa – The first-year star went 10-17 with four runs batted in and pitched a complete game to earn her ninth win of the season and extend Springfield’s winning streak to five. She also broke the single season hit record for the Pride with 75.
Emily McDermott – The senior goalkeeper for the women’s lacrosse team racked up two wins and a combined 13 saves in Springfield’s two games this week.
Carlee Crispens – The senior midfielder on the women’s lacrosse team set the tone for Springfield’s offense in the second-half of the Prides playoff game against Wheaton, as her four draw controls lead to five-straight goals.
Matlyn Gross – In the NEWMAC Championship this past weekend, the senior jumper won the long jump with a mark of 5.75m (18 feet, 8 inches) and placed third in triple jump.
