VOTE: The Springfield Student Athlete of the Week, Sept. 19 – Sept. 25

This week’s nominees:

Camryn Bancroft – The women’s volleyball graduate student compiled 37 kills on a .321 hitting percentage through three games this week.

Sara Labadorf – A senior on the women’s volleyball team, Labadorf has jumped out to an impressive start that has lead the Pride to an 11-1 record. The setter totalled 105 assists and 29 digs over three games this week.

Sophie Curcio – The sophomore led the women’s cross country team on Saturday as she was the Pride’s top finisher in the 6k at the Purple Valley Classic. Curcio finished the race with a time of 25:56.3.

Kaleigh Dale – The women’s soccer senior had a foot in both goals in the Pride’s 2-0 win over Wellesley on Saturday. Dale finished with a goal and an assist.

And on the men’s side…

Maitoe Suppasuesanguan – The first-year scored a game-winning goal in the 87th minute on Springfield men’s soccer’s 1-0 win over Williams on Wednesday.

Aiden Lewin – The sophomore linebacker had a day in football’s loss to Husson on Saturday. Lewin returned an interception 55 yards into the end zone in the third quarter and had 14 total tackles in the game.

David Wells – The starting quarterback ran for 64 yards on 18 rushing attempts in the team’s loss to Husson on Saturday. Wells also completed four passes for 39 yards.

John DeRosa – The sophomore distance runner was the Pride’s top finisher on Saturday with a time of 27:37.3 in the Purple Valley Classic.

Voting will be open until 10:00 a.m. on Monday
