fashionAs I am sure you all know, the 86th Oscars, a red carpet event, were aired Sunday. The evening was completely devoted to celebrating the year’s greatest moments in the film industry.

It goes without saying that where there is a red carpet there is great fashion. However, not everyone can please the crowd and fashion critics like Jennifer Lawrence. So without further ado, here are the night’s best and worst dressed stars.

The first star that was dressed to the nines was Lupita Nyong’o, the actress from 12 Years a Slave, who wore a Prada gown that was powder blue and absolutely stunning.

The next best dressed was Cate Blanchett, the best actress winner. She wore a heavy Giorgio Armani gown that was gold and looked flawless on her.

And then, of course, there was Kate Hudson, who owned the evening even though she wasn’t nominated for an Oscar. She showed up in a white Versace gown that was one of the most eye-catching of the evening. For me the mini cape made the outfit. She looked perfect as always.

Amy Adams showed off her figure in a navy Gucci gown that looked painted on, as it was perfect and breathtaking.

I don’t think I even need to mention Jennifer Lawrence because she always looks awesome. She wore a red peplum Dior dress that she rocked better than anyone else ever could.

Unfortunately, I could go on for days talking about the carpet’s best dressed, but it is time for the worst. I regretfully say that one of my favorite movie stars, Meryl Streep, didn’t look well at all. She looks amazing for her age, yet she wears droopy clothes that cover her entire person. I was disappointed.

Jennifer Garner in her Oscar de la Renta gown looked like she was at a Halloween party, not the Oscars. I officially want to burn the one and only flapper dress I own.

I am also sorry to say that Penelope Cruz, in her Giambattista Valli couture gown, looked far from her best. It looked like she took her light pink bed sheets, wrapped them around her and called it Oscar-ready.

Lastly, my favorite flop was Liza Minnelli. What is with the blue hair? And that blue pants suit to match was just a terrible idea. I would love to know what she was thinking.

That just about does it for the 86th Oscars’ best and worst dressed. Hope you all watched and enjoyed!
