It’s that time of year again for ugly sweater parties, and you can probably count on being invited to at least one. But where should you look for the perfect sweater? And does it really have to be that ugly?
First off, don’t spend time obsessing over how you look. The theme is meant to be funny, so have fun with it — but you can still make the theme stylish if you want. There are actually some pretty cool ugly sweaters out there that you might want to wear again. Marshalls has a ton of ugly sweaters with everything from penguins to reindeers on them. Since it’s a discount store, you can get one at a pretty cheap price.
A lot of sports teams sell their own ugly sweaters. You could look online at team store or check out a sporting goods store. These are pretty cool, but tend to run a bit on the pricey side. You can definitely wear them again though, especially if you’re going to see your favorite team play over winter break.
If you are just looking for something a bit crazy to wear only once, check out a thrift store like Savers or Goodwill. Chances are you can find a sweater there at an even cheaper price than anywhere else.
