It seems like there is always a new bracelet trend going on. Back in the day, we used to rock Live Strong bracelets, then Silly Bandz became the next big thing. Now, the newest bracelet fad is Lokai bracelets.

For those of you who don’t know what Lokai bracelets are, they’re pretty cool; you have most likely seen someone on campus wearing one. The classic Lokai bracelet has clear plastic beads, along with a black bead and a white bead.  The white bead contains water from Mt. Everest, while the black bead contains mud from the Dead Sea in Asia.

The idea behind the bracelets is that the black bead represents the low points in your life. The white represents the high ones. The bracelet is supposed to serve as a reminder to always stay positive.

The bracelet comes in more than just the original color. It’s also available in blue and camouflage. The camouflage bracelet supports The World Wide Fund for Nature, or WWF. Bracelets will also soon be available in pink, which will help support the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer.

Although the bracelets are a little pricy at $18, they are still a must have. You can wear just one or stack different colors. The bracelet is also gender neutral, so both guys and girls can wear them.  They come in different sizes, so they fit everyone.  The bracelets are available online and in some stores.
