Staff Writer
It’s pretty crazy that as I sit here at my desk writing this, I come to the realization that this is my final piece of work that will be published at Springfield College. Rather than dragging this out and making the column over 10 pages, filled with emotions, confessions and any other gossip-type reminiscing, I am going to get straight to the point.
I would like to start with my only regret, and that is not getting involved with the newspaper earlier. Due to many conflicts, my schedule did not permit me to put forth the time necessary to contribute. However, once I was able to, I jumped at the bit and have never been happier.
Not only has this experience given me the chance to get closer to my fellow seniors, but I have also gotten a chance to get to know some younger students who I may not have gotten the chance to meet before. Aside from the terrific staff, some of the stories that I have had the privilege of writing have allowed me to meet some spectacular people with some amazing stories all around campus.
As great as my experience writing for the paper was, none of it could have been possible without the help and support of the professors involved. Through all the adversity, issues and attempts to progress the paper and other media projects, you all stuck with and fought for us. For that, I wish to thank you, Marty, Kyle, Jody and all other professors working behind the scenes.
That being said, to all staff writers returning next year, I have the utmost faith in all of you to continue the success that the paper has had, and I wish you all luck. To my fellow seniors, Kara, Sean, Justin, Corey, Ryan and Josh, thank you guys for the great work, support and experience over the last few years. I know all of you will go on to do big things upon graduation, and I would wish you all luck, but none of you need it.
Not to sound redundant or repetitive, but I would just like to end this, my final piece, by saying thank you once more. Thanks to you all for reading my work, thanks to my fellow writers, professors and anyone I forgot to mention. I hope you all had as much fun as I did.
