The entertainment world was a little quiet this week after the Oscars that took place last weekend. Although a lot of celebrities laid low, others like Kim Kardashian, Erin Andrews, Taylor Swift, and Hayden Panettiere took the spotlight.
Taylor swift and her boyfriend, musician Calvin Harris, celebrated their one-year anniversary. The adorable couple kicked off their celebration with a chocolate cake with the phrase “1 Year” written in white icing with red hearts. Harris posted a video to his Snapchat of the cake and Swift. An insider close to Harris, according to E! News, said he wanted to buy her something really special.
“He bought the locket all on his own. Calvin is not a flashy guy when it comes to gifts and he knows Taylor appreciates the small meaningful things, so he thought she would appreciate the gift,” the insider told E!. The source says that inside the locket holds something special but the contents are top secret. It looks like Swift and Harris will be celebrating many more anniversaries.
Hayden Panettiere spoke out about postpartum depression a little while back after the birth of her daughter Kaya in December 2014. Panettiere says she was floored by the support given to her after she spoke out and sought treatment. She told Yahoo! Style that the more open she was, the more acceptance she got from people. She got a lot of support and so much love. Her character on Nashville, Juliette, also battles postpartum depression.
“It was so strange having to throw myself back into that frame of mind,” she told Yahoo! Style about getting back into character. “The way I do things is to pull from my own personal experience and sometimes even turn myself into what I’m portraying so that I can pull from my life and step into that person’s shoes by being able to relate.”
Erin Andrews has been awarded $55 million dollars in in the peeping tom lawsuit against a Nashville hotel. In 2008, a video of her nude while changing her clothes in a hotel room was posted online after Michael David Barrett filmed it through a peephole in an adjacent room. In 2009, Barrett pleaded guilty to shooting the video and stalking Andrews. The Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University was still at fault. Andrews posted on Instagram on Monday thanking the Nashville court, the court personnel and the jury. She said she’s received an overwhelming amount of support and she is very thankful for her friends, family and legal team.
Kim Kardashian posted a nude selfie two months post-baby on Monday, and a few people had a lot to say. She captioned the photo on twitter, “When you have nothing to wear. LOL.” Bette Midler tweeted, “Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.” Kardashian responded to Midler calling her a fake friend. Chloe Moretz tweeted at Kardashian saying, “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.” Kardashian tweeted back at Moretz saying, “let’s all welcome @CholeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo.” then Kardashian went on to post another nude photo on Tuesday with the caption “#liberated.” It looks like Kardashain has learned a few things from her husband Kanye West about Twitter wars and feuding with other celebrities.
Even though it seemed like a boring week in the entertainment world, it wasn’t completely silent. We can’t go a week without celebrity twitter feuds and hearing about adorable celebrity relationships. Fortunately, Andrews was given justice for the issues she faced of constantly being in the spotlight and Panettiere was given loads of support for opening up about her own problem.
