This past Sunday night was one of the biggest nights in music and fashion all year. That’s right, the 2014 Grammy Awards are where celebrities strut their stuff on the red carpet.

Celebrities were more daring than ever this year, dazzling the red carpet in sparkles and jewels. Some even were scandalous enough to show a little skin.

Some favorites of the evening were Katy Perry and her Valentino gown, Taylor Swift in Gucci, and Macklemore in his velvet emerald suit.

It seemed that this year the trend for the ladies’ gowns was nude colors. Whites, tans, gold and of course, you can’t forget the sparkles. The lighter tones won the night.

The ladies that wore this trend best were Iggy Azalea, Paris Hilton, Amber Rose and Chrissy Teigen. However, Paris Hilton in her Haus of Milani gown wore this look the best, as she looked stunning in her white shimmering gown.

That being said, the men brought their “A” game this year, too. They experimented with different fabrics, patterns and colors. Some of the men even outshined the ladies.

Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Pharrell and Miguel all wore suits worth talking about. They turned a lot of heads. But, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis dressed just crazy enough to win the hearts of all the viewers.

Although many of the stars were dressed to the nines, others made some questionable wardrobe choices to say the least.

The most criticized was rapper Pharrell Williams. The hat he had on caused such a riot it was given its own Twitter account. The hat was compared to Smokey the Bear’s and to the Arby’s sign.

They even compared the hat to the one Curious George’s companion, the Man in the Yellow Hat, wears in the books and movie. One website even went as far as to Photoshop Pharrell’s head in place of the man in the yellow hat’s.

So, while some celebrities made grand appearances and swept the crowd off of their feet, others fell flat. At least Pharrell can say he provided everyone with a great laugh.
